"My work is based on photos that I have taken over the years...photos of friends, family and especially strangers who struck me as interesting and beautiful as they pursued their everyday lives. I have tried to capture a moment in time- of activity, of pleasure, of movement- expressing the joy in all of us with vibrant colors and form, blending the abstract with the actual, to create a visual picture of the human spirit."
